Who We Are

2014 was a year of revelations and big changes in the Lissy family. Nine year old Ryan, after a complicated journey, had been diagnosed with ADHD and Asperger’s (officially changed that year to Autism Spectrum Disorder or ASD).

The family spent the next few years understanding personality strengths and areas to be practiced. They learned about IEP’s and 504 programs in school. They learned more and more language to be used and aware of. They learned how to navigate birthday parties and big family gatherings and changing of our schedules.

However, they also learned two very important lessons:

There are not enough resources in schools for teachers or administration to support these kids.

Although there are programs and resources to support families who include neurodivergent individuals, most programs are not covered by health insurance programs.

The Lissys wanted to provide a way to support other families going through similar situations, with programs designed to support both the neurodivergent individual and their families.

Our Mission

The NeuroAlly Family Fund aims to help create a financial bridge between families in need and programs designed to support the entire family unit.

It is a charity born out of a need for community, where we are a village, supporting each other – with tools, patience, education, and knowledge.
